AboutPrivacyAPI

Privacy Policy

WGTemporaryEmail is designed with privacy at its core: no registration, no ads, no tracking. This page explains how the service stores and processes data.

This policy applies to this temporary email service instance ("the Service").

Data We Collect and Store

To provide the inbox feature, the Service stores the following on the server:

  • The temporary email addresses you create and their expiry time
  • Emails sent to those addresses, including sender, subject, body and attachments
  • A random access token bound to the address (used to verify your access)

Your browser (localStorage) stores the current address and token so you can continue next time. This data stays on your own device only.

Data Retention and Deletion

  • Addresses and emails are kept for 24 hours by default, then deleted automatically (retention may vary by service configuration)
  • You can delete emails manually in the UI at any time
  • When the per-address email limit is exceeded, the oldest emails are cleaned up automatically
  • Deleted data cannot be recovered

What We Do NOT Collect

  • No registration or login; we never ask for your name, real email, phone number or any personal information
  • No ads, and no third-party tracking or analytics scripts
  • No selling, sharing or transferring of data to any third party

Email Content and Security

  • Email bodies and attachments are stored in the server database and deleted together with the email
  • HTML emails are sanitized before rendering to prevent malicious scripts
  • Accessing an inbox requires the corresponding random access token - do not share it with others
  • DKIM / SPF / DMARC validation results are shown for reference

Usage Tips and Disclaimer

Temporary email is suitable for one-time scenarios such as verification codes and test registrations. Do not use it for: binding important accounts, banking/payment or other sensitive services, or receiving any emails you cannot afford to lose - all emails are permanently deleted after the address expires.

Do not send or receive sensitive personal information through temporary email. The Service is not liable for the consequences of data deletion.
